I definitely think people respond to Serena’s outbursts with more shock and anger than other people because she is a Black woman…however, it’s hard for me to look at Serena as a victim when she has made tens of millions of dollars off the sport. There is always good and bad and she has had far more good.
Yes Black people live with a double standard, but after 17 years she should know better than to let an outburst become a headline. People are looking for anything and she made her community service work with the First Lady the day before a footnote and an emotional outburst a headline. SMH.
